Re: The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required...
That is odd. The game has no cab files. What is the name of msi that you are tying to run?

Re: SiegePackForDOSBox installer doesn't work
That installer is not a SquirtTheCat installer, but is from The Sierra Help Pages.

Re: Bladerunner for Windows 7/64 bit
A couple of things. First, The Blade Runner installer is not a Squirt the Cat installer, and as such you should ask any questions about it on my forum, not here. http://sierrahelp.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=24 Also know that I normally do not write installers for non Sierra games. I wrote the Blade ...

I'm not sure what else to suggest. You may need to wait to see if jafa shows up to answer. I wish this were an SCI game so I could try to hack in an SCI DOS interpreter to use in DOSBox, but it is not a true SCI game.

This is probably something that jafa would need address, since I don't know exactly what changes he made to this game. Have you tried updating your DirectX 9?

Re: Running SquirtTheCat on Mac OS X (SOLVED w/ WINESKIN)
As to the save location, that is something that jafa changed to make it more compliant with modern Windows so that user data is written in the user space. The game originally wrote saves to the game's directory. Installing legacy games inside the %ProgramFiles% folder can cause issues because of the...

Re: Running SquirtTheCat on VirtualBox OS X - Cursor Hourgla
The interlaced videos in GK2 and Phantasmagoria 1 are done through the scripts, so they can be turned off. Endroz created a script patch to do so for GK1 and in Phantasmagoria 1 it can be turned off in the game's settings. Both of these games used VMD videos and Phantasmagoria 2 uses DUK videos. I d...

Re: Running SquirtTheCat on VirtualBox OS X - Cursor Hourgla
Have you tried WINE? Unfortunately, jafa, the developer of this installer has not been active for quite a while. I had at one time talked to jafa about making his Phant 2 installer more compatible with resource concatenation, but shortly after is when he disappeared from view. I have installers for ...

Re: Problem in octspider lair
If you have UAC enabled on Vista/Win7/Win8 and installed the game in the %ProgramFiles%, anything that the game writes will probably end up in your Virtual Store. Any error logging is probably from jafa's fixes as the Sierra games tended to not write error logs. If the error is from one of his modif...
