Problem in octspider lair

Was playing game nicely, till I got to The Fountain Room. I finished then the progam closed with an error occurred when tried to leave. Tried to find txt file it says it saved but couldnt find it. Any help will be appreciated.

If you have UAC enabled on Vista/Win7/Win8 and installed the game in the %ProgramFiles%, anything that the game writes will probably end up in your Virtual Store. Any error logging is probably from jafa's fixes as the Sierra games tended to not write error logs. If the error is from one of his modification, I'm not sure how much help that I'll be. And unfortunately, jafa has not been around.
Have you tried to restore to a point from a room before the Fountain? Is the error reproducible? If all else fails, you can try my installer.

Note that you would not be able to reuse your save games.
