Robert E. Lee: Civil War General

Does anyone know how to get Robert E. Lee: Civil War General working on Windows 7? I have the original disk. The installer opens, makes sounds, but has no visible window. Any help will be appreciated.

I have tried a number of things, but about the only thing that I could reasonably do was to resort to XPMode. If you have at least Pro you can download XPMode from Microsoft.
